![]() Welcome
Welcome to Capriccio, Tara-Chan's mp3 rotation site. Rotation occurs monthly, and it has songs TC likes at the moment and wants to share with others. TC prefers instrumentals that ranges from Classical to New Age to Soundtracks. She also likes Oldies, Japanese, and random English songs. Her tastes are quite eclectic, really, so she welcomes you to expand your musical tastes. However, she will not accept requests; this will only give her a headache.

July 1, 2009: Happy July, everyone! :D Hope everyone's summer or winter is going well! Mine's being spent by playing games and watching films. In fact, thanks to the latter activity, this month's rotation is heavily influenced by the film industry to a certain degree. Just peruse the selections and you'll see what I mean. Enjoy them and see you next month! Please continue to comment! I like comments! (See previous rotations.)

Capriccio: A quick, improvisational, spirited piece of music. (Original definition from here.) Layout features characters from a great text-adventure game series called Gyakuten Saiban or Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. TC has been abducted by this game series, and when she found these musical themed images from this series... *gasps* inspiration has hit! MP // Where Images from Court Records. Manipulated in PSP9 and Photoshop7. Coded in Notepad. Uploaded via CuteFTP. MF // When Will rotate songs whenever the heck TC feels like it. In other words, beginning of each month. F // How Click on the link and the download should automatically begins. If it doesn't, then... er TC doesn't know what you need to do. After the download completes, get an unzipping programme such as IZarc. Unzip and enjoy! FF // DISCLAIMERS TC is not here to try to rip anyone off. She just want others to listen to the variety of music she loves to expand their musical taste. Therefore, MP3s are for sampling purposes. Delete it within 24 hours unless you have the CDs. If you do not have the CDs, then support the artists by purchasing them at Amazon, Animenation, Yesasia, Play Asia, or Game Music. Also, TC does not list the CDs the songs are from because a lot of the songs she chooses to put up here for sampling purposes are on multiple CDs, and it would drive her insane trying to decide which CDs to "advertise." She leaves that up to the visitors to choose for themselves if they are interested in purchasing. NO DIRECT LINKING! DOWNLOAD ONE AT A TIME! ** If you understood the little F's, M's, and P's above, Kudos to you XD. Downloads
Comment, comment, comment. Please? These comments fuel my motivation to keep this site going. It's really a shame that I'll have like 100+ downloads and only five people commenting. I like hearing feedbacks from people. It also gives me a vague idea on what I want to rotate the next month and whatnot. Please comment! They are deeply appreciated! Thank you. ^_^
1 // Name: Gyakuten Saiban - Cadenza - Pursuit ~ Cornered [10.2 mb] [5:18] Artist: Magical Trick Society Language / Genre: Instrumental / Video Game Soundtrack Remix TC's Comments: This is one of my favourite themes from the series. While the original in-game version is intense, especially since you are CORNERING the witnesses/suspects with the contradictions and whatnot, this one is even more intense because of the instruments they used here -- more specifically the electric guitar. Magical Trick Society are a video game music remix group, and they did an entire album based on the songs from the first game. This is one of their best ones, and I love it! Actually, this is the kind of songs I can imagine The Gavinners rocking out, too. Too bad they disbanded in the game! But anyway, give this a try! :D 2 // Name: Cupid Shuffle [6.39 mb] [4:39] Artist: Cupid Language / Genre: English / Hip-hop Line Dance TC's Comments: I swear, this song is evil because it's addicting. So addicting, I listened to this for a week. And it was no thanks to my job! See, I had to work at daycare centre for a while, and I worked with preschoolers . . . and they were doing this dance. *dies* But that's beside the point. This song really does have a nice beat, and it's catchy. Way too catchy! Anyway, I've been listening to this all month, and I decided this had to go on Capriccio's list. XD 3 // Name: Free Willy - Will You Be There [5.38 mb] [5:52] Artist: Michael Jackson Language / Genre: English / Film Soundtrack, Soul, and Gospel TC's Comments: With the whole world OMGing about Michael Jackson's unexpected death, I was reminded of my first exposure to him, and it was through the movie Free Willy which featured this song. It wasn't until later I listened to his famous singles like "Beat It" and "Thriller". This song, though, is what reminds me of Michael Jackson. I love this song -- it just has an awesome melody line, and Michael Jackson's vocals here are quite fitting along with the choir in the background :D. Anyway, Michael Jackson, RIP. 4 // Name: Rudy - The Final Game [8.56 mb] [6:14] Artist: Jerry Goldsmith Language / Genre: Instrumental / Film Soundtrack TC's Comments: I recently was reminded of this film, so I had rewatched it and enjoyed it again. But this time, I paid closer attention to the film's soundtrack, and I decided it was a good OST. :D I particularly like this song that they play at the end, especially when it's 2:18. That theme they play throughout the film was my personal favourite, but when put together as a larger piece like this one, it all comes together nicely. Very inspiring piece from a famed composer, with its fantastic woodwinds and brass instruments! I would love to hear this performed live now! 5 // Name: The End of the World [2.41 mb] [2:38] Artist: Skeeter Davis Language / Genre: English / Oldies and Country-Pop TC's Comments: Like I mentioned at the top, I've been in a film watching mood, and I happened to rewatch Girl, Interrupted, and this is the song that was played at Daisy's house. This is kind of a sad song, but I still like it. It has that oldies ballad feel (like "Unchained Melody") to it, and it's kind of soothing actually, if you don't pay any attention to the lyrics, which I usually don't. :D 6 // Name: The Fifth Element - Il dolce suono from Lucia di Lammermoor [7.26 mb] [3:10] Artist: Inva Mulla Tchako/Gaetano Donizetti Language / Genre: Italian / Film Soundtrack and Opera TC's Comments: No, I have not watch The Fifth Element recently (I have in the past), but I watched this fantastic anime series called Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, and this particular song was featured in the series quite a bit -- in the first episode even -- and I was thinking, I heard this before! And then after researching, it came to me that I heard it in The Fifth Element when that Diva sings it! :D So here's a lengthy explanation as to way I'm suddenly into this song. I'm not a big opera fan, but arias like this one can win me over. Btw, this is supposedly part of the "mad scene" in the original opera. With a back story like that, you can see why they used it in the anime. ^_^ Enjoy this gorgeous piece! ETA: And no, this doesn't include the separate funky section that occurs at the end. That was an entirely different track, so hence why I didn't stick it here. Besides, I was just trying to showcase the aria more anyway! 7 // Name: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory [3.61 mb] [3:56] Artist: Gene Wilder Language / Genre: English / Film Soundtrack TC's Comments: The book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, is the book that got me to love reading, and when I discovered there was a 1971 film adaptation (no, not the Tim Burton's version) later, I watched it and enjoyed it, despite all the drastic differences the film writers came up with. One scene that I always enjoyed from this film was when Wonka showed the children and the adults the Chocolate Room. To me, as a child, it was a magical room, where everything was edible in there. Well, this is the song that's played during that scene, and it's my favourite song from the film. It's just a beautiful song -- practically on the same level as "The Rainbow Connection" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for me :D Highly recommended! Oh and this song gains more kudos for me since the beginning showcase Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, to which one of the character in the film said it was by Rachmaninoff. ~__~;; Content Management Powered by CuteNews
